Privacy Policy
This is a small editorial site, and the privacy policy is short because there is genuinely very little to describe.
What is collected
Our server records standard technical information when a page is requested: the page address, the time, a browser identification string, a referring page if there is one, and an IP address. This is ordinary web server logging, kept for a limited period to keep the site running and to understand roughly how many people read it.
If you email us, we hold your message and your email address for as long as needed to deal with it, and no longer.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Web fonts are loaded from a third-party font service, which means your browser makes a request to that service and it will see your IP address as part of serving the file. If aggregate analytics are used, they are configured to report visit counts rather than to build profiles of individual readers.
What is never done
We do not sell, rent, trade or share personal information with anyone. We do not run advertising networks, we do not operate user accounts, and we do not maintain a mailing list, so there is no subscriber database.
Your choices
You can block cookies and third-party font requests in your browser settings without breaking anything important on this site; the layout will simply fall back to system typefaces. To ask what we hold about you, or to have an email exchange deleted from our records, write to privacy@opulentass.com and we will act on it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version replaces this page. Continuing to use the site after that point means the newer version applies.
